Gift suggestions for folks in India from US?

I will be visiting India in two weeks. I would like to get gifts for friends and family that are not too expensive. I have thought of chocolates, christmas ornaments, magnets and other mementos. Any suggestions? Gift ideas for kids and youngsters would be appreciated too.
