Florida Highway Patrol or USMC?

I have a chance to be a trooper in Florida starting at approximately $34,000. I have always wanted to be a trooper and the opportunity has finally come. However, I have the opportunity to be a Crew Chief on a helicopter in the Marine Corps ...full time...at a reserve unit making almost $55,000 (includes BAH - thats money for housing) and other things like flight pay. I have always wanted to fly and this is also a great opportunity for me. I am torn. I want to be a trooper..but for $34,000 and no pay raise in sight?
