My Dog keeps stealing my babies diapers from the laundry. We have lid on the pail but he finds a way in?

Any idea how to deter him from getting at the diapers... It is very gross and the diapers are very expensive and i don't want to have to continue to buy new ones... He is a good dog other then this baby poop
