Would this be a good American Idol?

The show should be run like a Presidential Election campaign. There would be primaries and then a general with an electoral college. Singers would go on the touring trail and sing in each State and occasionally sing on stage with other contestants with the judges on hand. There would be conventions and caucuses. Everyone would have their own touring headquarters and website donations. A super tuesday would also exist. On election night, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Lopez, and Simon Cowell would give their opinion such as "Scotty is going to have a tough time winning Michigan with the Motown Records as they do not like country music." The singers would say "I don't listen to personal attacks, I'm here to do what most people care about and that is the music."
