Song writing Help Needed!?

Don't try so hard. Relax ,song writing should be enjoyable not stressful.I always just pick up my instrument and start playing something off the cuff ,once I play something I like for a while I sing along to it and get what the song is going to be about that way.A huge piece of advice I can give you is STOP trying to write songs that sound like another band ,creat your own songs and sounds ,who knows some day someone might want to write songs that have your sound in it. Just be yourselves and let it come from the heart,music was never meant to be forced.
