Why do Republicans shy away from collective responsibility?

Because Republicans want you to live in a country that encourages and nurtures you as an American citizen to be the best you can be. If you have a good work ethic, tenacity and a little luck, you can be become as rich and as powerful as you want. You should not have to rely on other people who work hard every day and pay taxes, so you can sit on your lazy, social program sucking behinds and play video games all day. Democrats and liberals want you dependent, weak and dumb so you have to vote to keep them in power to keep those Welfare checks coming. Republicans want you doing the hard work, getting an education, making responsible choices (not getting pregnant at 15), using your intellect, entrepenurial savvy and spirit to invent things, and create jobs and thus make this a strong, intelligent country we can be proud of.
