Who benefits from the game of "let's compare our level of victimization"?

that's a really good question i was in a cl for cpr and we got talking about trauma and then all of a sudden this girl would always try to trump us when the rest of us were trying to bond....it seamed like she was trying to control the group by getting attention an using our pity fir her or use it as some kind of seniority on us who knows wish i did it was annoying.
