How come alot of people are saying that we cannot harness our own resources.?

As I've said before, I live in Texas, where not only do we supply our own energy, we sell it to other states. This is lining our pockets, so I am not complaining. We are the #1 producer of wind power, in our neigborhoods they are drilling for natural gas, and paying us for leasing our mineral rights. We can't see it , hear it, or smell it. we drill both off and on shore, we clean coal mine,( which is the only thing Texans are opposed to, it is very bad for the enviroment and is being faised out,) People need to stop their complaining about high gas prices(we pay less than the rest of the country) finding alterative fuel, fighting wars for oil, and take a lesson from us. Go ahead and stay dependent on us Califoria for our Natural gas and wind power, we will be laughing all the way to the bank, Our enviroment and air quality is still better than most, and we are not in a (recesion) , The rest of the country needs to stop whining, and learn something from TEXAS,fastest growing State
